Mudgee Gourmet opened for trading at Easter 1997 as Heart of Mudgee, stocking locally made art and craft, and fine foods made by seven local suppliers.
As Mudgee's fine food industry expanded so has the range of products - we stock 30 brands made by local suppliers.
Heart of Mudgee was the first' totally local' providore, according to former food writer critic Matthew Evans. Our product range continues to be drawn exclusively from the Mudgee Region.
Our product range is seasonal regional, reflecting the climate and soils of the Mudgee district, skills and ingenuity of new and old rural industries - olives, honey, grapes, temperate nuts, berries, vegetables and fruits.
We have 14 years of product
knowledge. Sales are supported by serving suggestion, recipes and use tips.
At Mudgee Gourmet, we encourage a healthy approach to the enjoyment of
food – many of our products are suitable for diabetics or those who are
